This dynamic trio are not new to Jackson, but they are (mostly) new to the interventionist position. They work with our teachers to develop plans to support our students and work hard to meet the needs of every student they can squeeze into a group throughout the day. The growth students make takes everyone at Jackson, and these 3 roll up their sleeves and find out what is causing a student to struggle and fine tune their instruction to meet the very specific needs of each student. Their tailored instruction to meet these foundational needs gives our students the leg up they need to be able to catch up in class and be successful learners. We are truly blessed to have the ability to have interventionists in our district to meet our students foundational needs and these 3 do an amazing job!

It's fitting to have this group showcased tonight as we just completed our 1st grade concert where students performed and showed off their art as the decorations for the concert. This team works together all year long helping each other with concerts, field days, and the school as a whole with the many projects and activities that come up. They work hard to not only teach their own content, but to support the work of the grade level classrooms, bring culture to their subjects, and support community projects. They unselfishly help out in many areas whether it is greeting students as they arrive in the morning, helping with breakfast and clean up, or tutoring students that need a little extra help. I appreciate their love for their subject and the way they share that love with students to expose them to the arts and life long physical activity!

Different pictures for our 3rd grade team as one is out awaiting the arrival of their first child! Due to her being gone, her husband, who is also a teacher, gets to make the picture. This team works hard day in, and day out. Their work transitions students to really starting to put everything together to become independent learners on top of introducing brand new concepts like multiplication and division. Science experiments, place based learning, and building background knowledge for writing and explaining their thinking are some of their many strengths that students will benefit from the rest of their lives! They take their students on community cleanups, caroling, and show our young members of the community what it means to respect the place where you live. Thank you for all you do to continue to grow our Jaguars!

Our first grade concert is tomorrow, Thursday, at 6:00pm in the gym at Jackson. Students may wear colorful clothing or regular concert attire. Hope to see you there!

Mostly a new 2nd grade team at Jackson this year and they are doing great! They have done a great job bonding as a team and working together to support the needs of their students. Second grade is a big transition year as students start putting all the skills together to be more independent readers, mathematicians, and writers. This team has done an amazing job taking students foundational skills from 1st grade and preparing them for 3rd grade. Thank you for caring so much about your students and providing them a great place to learn!

This team of 1st grade teachers takes our youngest kiddos and grows them tremendously over the year! Their focus and dedication on foundational skills gives our students the tools to learn and grow as learners, and also as good citizens. They work tirelessly to support students learning, teaching appropriate social skills, tying shoes, zipping coats, and although it is an honor, reminding students that their name is not "Mom, Dad, Grandma, or Grandpa". Thank you for all the work you do to give our students a great start at Jackson!

This has quickly been my favorite way to do announcements. Adi took charge right away and set a great example of leadership for our first graders! She is a kind, hardworking student that wasn’t afraid to jump in and run the show!

Once again, we have a wonderful 3rd grader, Brenna, helping our first graders with announcements! I’m continually amazed by the leadership that our 3rd graders show when working with our younger students! Brenna did an outstanding job taking these first graders under her wing!

Please remember we have an early release today at 12:35! We do have school on Monday. Have a wonderful weekend!

We are back to having students doing announcements in the morning. After getting through our 3rd graders and 2nd graders, we thought we would let some 1st graders try, but they would need some help. Aspen has been working with 1st graders each day this week to help them do announcements and it has been amazing! Aspen is a wonderful role model and example to our students and we are very proud of her!

I was able to take this wonderful group of people out to lunch yesterday for para appreciation! They do an amazing job supporting our teachers and students across the building and we couldn’t do it without them!
