To connect reading with science, Mrs. Griffin's 2nd grade class read Pumpkin Jack and carved a classroom pumpkin named Snowball. This hands-on activity introduced students to the pumpkin life cycle. We will be keeping Snowball in the classroom throughout the upcoming weeks to closely observe and discuss each stage of his life cycle.
