Recently, BOOST immersed themselves in all things Letter Aa! Our week ended with a special activity—making applesauce from scratch. Throughout the week, students practiced an important preparation skill by cutting Play-Doh “snakes” with popsicle sticks so they would be ready to safely use real tools for our cooking activity. Today, every student participated in chopping apples, and it was wonderful to see their confidence and excitement as they helped prepare our applesauce. In BOOST, we are a collaborative community, and we strive to create opportunities for students to practice age-appropriate independence in all of our activities. It was a fun, hands-on way to celebrate Letter Aa and apples!
