Our Community:

We are located in beautiful, central Wyoming. Riverton is surrounded by many, many outdoor year-round activities. We have easy access to several mountain ranges, bodies of water and sand dunes, for all kinds of recreational opportunities. You can be in the mountains or at one of several lakes in about 30 minutes. Central Wyoming College is an excellent opportunity for post-secondary continuing education opportunities. Riverton is adjacent to the Wind River Indian Reservation, providing access to activities rich in cultural heritage and beauty. This is a good place to be!

No State income tax, low sales (5%) and property taxes. The state's average effective property tax rate is 0.61%, which is the tenth lowest in the country.

There is a huge variety of outdoor activity options - camping, hiking, mountain biking, photography, four wheeling, skiing, snowmobiling, rock-hounding, white water rafting . . .the list goes on and on.

Events and Opportunities in our area:

● The Riverton Rendezvous & Balloon Rally every July brings many entertaining events to the area.

Our District: Our district and staff are passionate about the education of ALL students. We serve a diverse population of over 2,400 students with approximately 550 staff members.

We consistently focus on our commitment to building the capacity and skills of our staff and students. We provide opportunities for growth and leadership for all staff members. Our district is very fortunate to have several highly and widely experienced Instructional Facilitators that provide coaching opportunities and individual support to our teachers. These are “master” teachers with leading edge training that are helping to lead this District into our future. We also have a comprehensive mentor/mentee support program for all of our new district teaching staff.

Fremont 25 provides a wide range of support services for students with special needs. These include: Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Sensory Environments, Physical Therapy, Adaptive Physical Education, Learning Resource, Life Skills Learning, Social Emotional Support, Orientation and Mobility, Teacher of the Visually Impaired, Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Board Certified Behavior Analysis, School Psychologist, Audiology, and Case Management for over 450 students District wide.

Our Initiatives: Fremont 25 strives to be a Professional Learning Community. Collaborative teams across the district are committed to using PLC processes to provide support and growth to all staff. Professional collaboration is at the heart of what we do. Tied in with our Professional Learning Community focus is our development and implementation of effective MTSS systems at all buildings across the district. All buildings are committed to developing and implementing System Wide approaches to Screening, Data Based Decision Making, Progress Monitoring and Multi Level Prevention Systems. These MTSS systems work to provide staff with the structures, tools and support to help all students achieve both academic and behavioral goals.
