The Recreation Board distributes tax monies generated from the one-mill levy authorized by State legislation. It is the philosophy of the board to fund recreational projects with far reaching benefits and those reaching the majority of School District 25 patrons. The board annually awards over $100,000 to deserving groups in an effort to make Riverton a more recreation-friendly city.

Timeline (To Submit Applications)
In order to be considered for funds, your organization must complete the proposal application form in its entirely and have 10 copies and a representative present at the meeting, Monday, January 13, 2025 held at Central Office at 6:00 pm.
Meeting Dates
The School District 25 Recreation Board meets on the first Monday of every month (unless that day is a federally recognized holiday) at 7 pm in the Riverton City Hall Council Work Room. Annually the board holds a public meeting to accept project proposals in the Public Meeting Room of the Fremont County School District No. 25 Administration Building (121 N. 5th Street West).
